Today I was going to be a tourist no pre walk flaying no scrabbling round looking for nuts and berries for me.
I headed for the cathedral for my first bit of rubber necking,it reall annoys me that you have to pay to get into the cathedrals, surely the church is rich enough without my 5 euros!!!
The stain glass windows were absolutely stunning .
I walked round for 30 minutes which those who know me will concur is a record rubber necking session for me,it really was an incredible place how they build this gothic cathedral in the 12th century is beyond me.
I left the cathedral and just walked the city and took in its history I just love these Spanish cities.
I kept coming across parts of the old walled city.
I stumbled across this beautiful fruit and vegetable market,I have never seen garlic like it.
There is always a reminder of home in every city,I devote this photo to Phil ,I would loved to have had one with you ,heavy on the chillies of course!
I had a pre arranged meeting at 1100 with a film maker called Andrew who is making a documentary on people's life experiences who are walking the Camino I must say I thoroughly enjoyed being filmed and interviewed. We had a very pleasant lunch together, and as per usual I talked utter b........s.
Whilst we were talking this police women turned up as there was an incident in the house next to the restaurant ,I just loved watching her leaning against the wall fag in mouth not a care in the world.
Time for dog on a blog,I have to say one of the hardest aspects of this walk is finding good dogs to star in this prestigious feature, this little treasure did not let me down.
After lunch I met with the team and we went back to my hotel for a bottle of champagne to celebrate we had all got this far.
When everybody had gone I went up to my room and had a snooze.Sadly I have developed conjunctivitis and it is now too late for me to get to a chemist,so I apologies for more spelling mistakes than usual I can barely see ,better my eyes than my trotters!!!
We have got a 0630 start tomorrow as I have got a 20 miler ahead of me, Andrew is joining us to carry on with his documentary.
I have had a super day today,it has been so nice to feel normal and not have to walk, but it is business as usual tomorrow and I know I have got some of the hardest walks ahead of me.
When I reach the 12 mile mark tomorrow I will have walked 300 miles and I will place a stone for my dear late friend Dave Rushton who loved his walking.

An example to us all Peter! Sheer determination on your part. Keep plodding on!

All the very best Mike
Really enjoying the blog! First one I've ever read consistently, like everyone else who's reading this, it's like a good book you can't put down. You will make it to the end and there's loads of us behind you all the way. Can imagine the banter and laughter between the other characters you keep meeting, but that's the beauty of it, isn't it? What a brilliant experience!
